About Us
We are two Christchurch based physiotherapists who have worked together over the last 10 years and finding a shared passion for working with older people, created Summit Physio. We have both worked extensively in private residential aged care facilities and community physiotherapy teams within the District Health Board.
Catherine was born in the UK and graduated in Physiotherapy at St Georges Hospital in London in 2006. After spending two years working in the acute hospital environment, she moved to New Zealand and started work in private practice with a special interest in working with older adults with musculoskeletal and orthopaedic problems. Finding that her passion lay with community based therapy, she has since split her time working with both community teams within the district health board and aged care facilities.
Jane graduated from Otago University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. She spent time working in rotational posts in the North Island, before moving to the UK for 5 years. There she gained experience working in a variety of areas including a community hip and knee surgical team, private musculoskeletal clinics and various medical wards treating older people with respiratory conditions. She then moved to Christchurch and worked in private practice predominantly working with older people in the community. This included fracture rehab, Parkinsons Disease and Multiple Sclerosis rehab as well as neuromuscular disease management. Jane currently works in various aged care hospitals and rest homes along side her community based role with the CDHB.

Feedback
“
I really appreciated the support Jane gave me to get over my recent injury. I didn’t think I would be able to get back to independent living but feel better than I have in a long time.
